2015-2016 Wage & Benefits Re-opener Proposal

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

The Union and the Company have negotiated a final wage proposal for the 2015 contract re-opener. Duke Energy Florida presented a last best offer which, if ratified, would be effective from December 7, 2015 to December 4, 2016. The negotiated proposal does not include any modifications to the current health and welfare benefits for Union workers represented by the IBEW System Council - U8. The proposed general wage increase is 3.00%.

The IBEW System Council - U8 System Committee is recommending ratification of this wage proposal. Please exercise your right to vote as a dues paying member. You can find the re-opener language contained in article 12 section 2 of your memorandum of agreement.

Additional documents and/or information will be posted in the coming days along with the dates, times and locations for upcoming information meetings. Some of those meetings may be your regular Local Union meeting. Please check back with us on a regular basis for the most current information.
