Sisters and Brothers,
Attached are several Memorandum of Understanding documents that we agreed to over the last couple weeks. I apologize for not posting these before now but I've been down and out with some medical issues.
- The Jet Engine Mechanic will become a subset qualification of a Mechanic, much like a Certified Welder Mechanic. Mechanic will be the primary skill but the Jet Engine qualification will be necessary to hold the Jet Engine Mechanic classification. Also like the CWM, the Jet Engine Mechanic may be posted as a primary skill for purposes of filling CTT positions.
- When filling an Associate Dispatcher position internally, selection will be made by "Senior Qualified", which was always the intent. Interviews will not be necessary for internal candidates that meet the prerequisites listed in Exhibit F, 1.1, of the 2020 Memorandum of Agreement.
- Field Service Technicians will not be subject to the (40) minute living and response time under the provisions of Article II, Section 10(C). This was an oversight by the parties and has been corrected via this MOU.
Thank you and please continue working safely and please adhere to the guidance of the CDC which will keep you and your family safe.
Fraternally yours,
Phil
